The AUL 2020 will see 8 teams compete over three live events in Melbourne and Sydney.
The season structure has been overhauled to provide more live, spectator-accessible events, following on from the success and phenomenal atmosphere of the AUL 2018 and 2019 live finals.
Melbourne and Sydney conferences in September 2020 will be the decider for which top four teams (two from each conference) will compete in a live streamed semi-finals and grand final event at the end of 2020. The conferences and finals will be live, open to spectators and filmed (for later release).
We really want the AUL 2020 Season to go ahead. The AUL has been incredible for the promotion and growth of Ultimate and to showcase our elite players. The AUL wants to continue championing gender equity in its equal gender split policy across players, coaches, commentators, game advisors and board members and to encourage gender equity discussion through the annual gender equity forum. We have grander plans and bigger ideas in store and we want more people to experience Ultimate.
But we need your help. The financial structure of the 2018 and 2019 AUL is not sustainable. We have crunched the numbers. We need the community to support by coming on board the AUL 2020 as a league or team sponsor. We also need individuals / clubs / teams to take on AUL teams as franchises (with reasonable support from the AUL Executive).
We have re-opened expressions of interest for an AUL team franchise. Please complete the form below for further information.
We welcome league and/or team sponsors. Please contact us for further information on how to donate or sponsor.
